At Dynamics Disability Solutions, we recognize there are differences between treating children and adults with bracing needs, and we have assembled a leading team of orthotic specialists focused on pediatric care. Our pediatric orthotists have dedicated their careers to treating children who require orthotic intervention. As your child grows and becomes more active, their orthosis will require upgrades and replacements to keep up with them. During high growth periods, you and your child will likely be spending a lot of time with your orthotist. Our mission is to build strong and lasting relationships with our pediatric patients and their parents, and work as a team to help your child reach their full potential.

What is Lower-Limb Brace?

Lower-limb bracing is a great option for individuals requiring lower-limb mobility assistance, functional support, anatomical correction, and/or injury prevention. The design of your lower-limb brace will depend upon your anatomy, medical condition, current activity level and future functional goals. Lower limb bracing can be custom or off-the-shelf. Custom braces are often necessary for patients requiring specific anatomical modifications or functional customization.

What is the Process Lower-Limb Brace?

The design of your lower-iimb brace and the process to receive it will depend upon several factors, including: 

• What are your medical conditions that require the use of a brace?
• Are you a new or experienced brace wearer?
• What is your current activity level and future functional goals?
• Do you require an off-the-shelf or custom brace?

These are just a few of the questions that will dictate the timeline and process for receiving your brace. In general though, our orthotists will conduct a thorough evaluation to determine the ideal brace for you  and administer a comprehensive fitting to ensure brace fit, comfort, and efficacy.

Upper-Limb Bracing

Upper-limb bracing is necessary for children requiring upper-limb mobility assistance, functional support, anatomical correction, and/or injury prevention. The design of your child’s upper-limb brace will depend upon their anatomy, medical condition, current activity level and future functional goals. Upper-limb bracing can be custom or off-the-shelf. Custom braces are often necessary for children requiring specific anatomical modifications or functional customization. 

 

Scoliosis Bracing

We’ve all heard of scoliosis, but what exactly is it? Simply put, scoliosis is a condition that causes an individual's spine to become curved and rotated - like the letters “S” or “C”.  In some cases, scoliosis can be a harmless condition, but often it is important to straighten the spine to avoid long term issues from arising. Thankfully, here at Eschen, we are really good at that! Scoliosis brace design and technology have come a long way since their bulky, rigid predecessors were the industry norm. Modern day scoliosis braces are thin, flexible, and low-profile enough to fit under most clothing. 

 

Spinal Bracing

Your child may require a spinal brace for a variety of reasons. Spinal brace selection and design will depend upon each child’s condition, anatomy, and functional goals. Eschen will work with you and your team to ensure your child receives a spinal brace that maximizes their functionality and minimizes their pain and risk of injury. 

 

Cranial Remolding Helmets

Cranial remolding helmets are used to encourage pediatric skulls to be more symmetrical and proportional. Intervention starting at four to eight months generates the best results. Our specialized team of certified orthotists custom fit these young patients and children usually respond well to this noninvasive treatment.
